–Getting acquainted with Nancy Robinette, Trevor Bača, Paul Griffiths, Joy Zinoman & Cygnus

Cygnus & Marsyas Productions have explored synergies between music and theater since 2012 productions at the Library of Congress and the Classic Stage Company in the East Village.

Production is in rehearsal. The seats are fully booked via Eventbrite.
Below are some resources for those preparing for the experience on October 10.

On October 10, at Loft393 (at 393 Broadway, NY, NY) Nancy Robinette and Director Joy Zinoman will create Owl. The creation of the character will happen alongside composer Trevor Bača’s music for Cygnus, his musical insights into Owl’s space, Owl’s concerns, Owl’s nature.

For this production, Cygnus has reassembled the formidable creative team behind its 2012 show, *Sounding Beckett* – Director Joy Zinoman, designers Debra Booth and Michael Giannitti, and stage manager Solomon HaileSelassie. This team was first assembled through a joint project with the Library of Congress in 2012.

Some music from Sounding Beckett, based on the simple premise that cutting edge theater and ambitous new music might share an audience. Following Beckett’s strict rules about music with his works, the music and the plays were side by side; the musical response followed the play.
