In 2015, the Roger Shapiro Fund commissioned Anna Weesner’s for a new work for Cygnus + soprano. The result was My Mother In Love, which is now cited in connection with her awarding of a the Virgil Thomson Prize for vocal music by the American Academy of Arts & Letters.
